I wrote this letter to my two Georgia senators, Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isakson on July 9th, 2005.  I heard back from both - and was VERY excited, but I got two form letters.  Sigh.

So I sent it to my congressman, John Linder, on August 9th,  2005.

I was thinking about Iraq and how difficult it will be to extricate ourselves from that situation, when I remembered that Spray-And-Wash advertises that it "gets out what America gets into".  Due to our truth in advertising laws I figure this statement must be true, so I got my globe and squirted Spray and Wash on the Iraq section.  This did not seem to work.  (I also sprayed France as I was feeling hopeful.)  It is possibly fortunate that this did not work as a drop accidentally fell on Ireland, and as my wife hopes to visit there this could have been very unfortunate.

I was originally upset with Spray and Wash for false advertising, and then it occurred to me that it probably needed to be applied directly.  So I thought that I would write my senators and suggest that our troops re-arm with Spray and Wash bottles and apply it to the soil of Iraq.  This should then (assuming that their advertising can be fully trusted) allow our troops to safely leave the country.  As an added bonus, just think how clean the country will be!

I also wrote a version of it to the Spray and Wash company...
