The droid from the front...

I added silver pin striping to the dome and to the shoulders finally...and MAN am I pleased with it!

I loved the R2Builders badge from C2, and I've never had an exhibitor's badge before...so I decided to mount them inside R2-Q5.

DragonCon 2002

I took R2's dome to Kenny Baker's table and had him autograph the inside.  He was very pleasant and said some nice things about it.   I talked to Val (the lady sitting next to him) and she was also very pleasant.  I wanted a picture of Kenny next to R2 but was nervous about getting it though the dealers room.  She suggested bringing it early in the morning the next day - so I did.  I ended up leaving it at Kenny Baker's table for the rest of the day and the next day.  I think they liked having it there, and Val told me later that a LOT of people had been taking its picture.  They had even placed a Kenny Baker name plate on the top of the R2 unit.  I was pretty pleased!
