If you or your kid is interested in magic, then why not learn to actually do some?! Hit the library – they have some GREAT books. I put out a few books of tricks that I sometimes sell at shows, those are at the end. Other than the books from me, each of the books below is available from the Seattle Public Library – so go get them!
The Mark Wilson Course of Magic is the one I first learned magic from and it’s fantastic – and one of the tricks from my show is still right out of that book. Joshua Jay’s Course is newer, in color, and might be more appealing, depending on your kid. The last book is also from Joshua Jay and is more tailored to a child.
Mark Wilson’s Complete Course in Magic
This is a a fantastic book to learn magic. I love it so much that two things in my show are out of this book – get it and I’ll tell you which ones!

Magic: The Complete Course
While I love the Mark Wilson book, this book is newer and also just a great way to learn magic.

Big Magic for Little Hands
Joshua Jay has an amazing wealth of knowledge and has been using it to release a lot of books lately. This one is geared to magic for kids and may a better starter book than his Complete Course, just depending on the reader!

Evan’s Book of Trickery (Book 3 in black and white)
This is my third book and in my opinion is the best of the three. It’s in full color but that costs more, so there is a black and white as well as a color version.
